Based on this assumption, Ceramiche Gardenia Orchidea S.p.A. has embraced the principles of sustainability and translated the culture of a responsible production into concrete actions in order to ensure future development, preserve the environment and improve our life style.
"I want proactive ecology" is not only a slogan. It is a principle that Ceramiche Gardenia Orchidea has adopted and decided to comply with in every activity.
This is the principle that lies at the basis of CrystalKer, an innovative product used by our company to radically change the very notion of ceramics by bringing aesthetic and innovation to the service of eco-sustainability.
Created in response to the need to reduce building developments, particularly during restoration works, CrystalKer combines in its mere 2.5 mm of thickness top-quality design with unequalled technology, unheard-of usages and significant benefits for the environment:
- 2/3 reduction in the raw materials used;
- Reduction of energy consumption during the production process;
- Dramatic reduction of finished product handling and the consequent emissions into the atmosphere;
- Dramatic reduction of scrap and debris volumes in building yards, with the consequent reduction of materials to be disposed of;
- No noise during demolition work, no dust, no debris to be disposed of.
Cleaner and more environment-friendly industrial processes, products made with recycled materials, sustainable use of raw materials, elimination of hazardous substances, these are the pillars of the present and future innovation proposed by Ceramiche Gardenia Orchidea.
Since 2009, our company has found a fabulous partner: the EUROPEAN COMMISSION. Together we are using the LIFE+ and CIP Eco-Innovation tools to support several eco-innovative projects, also form the financial point of view. These projects - which represent Gardenia Orchidea's commitment for a proactive ecology - are the following: NATSTOCER, ENERGEO, WAP-WIR, ECO BULL-NOSE 2.0.
